“I painted these, sometimes to forget and sometimes to not forget…”

The series is a tribute to a dear friend and the island she grew up in the Maldives. The landscapes are of Male’, as how she perceived the shift from a village to a city. The changing nature of her beloved home, where she felt has no place for people who are not abled or different physically, sexually, by race or religion. A place where it has lost its youth.
